Who You Are Buying From

What We Sell

Giclée prints on canvas, stretched on a 38 mm bar, and giclée prints on Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper, each made to order by our print lab from pictures made in our studio with an image model. Nothing we sell is painted or signed by hand. Colours on your screen and on the canvas will differ a little, as they do between any screen and any print.

Editions

Each piece is offered in an edition of 25 canvases across all canvas sizes. Numbers are assigned in the order payments clear and are final once your receipt is sent. Paper proofs are an open edition and are not numbered. If two payments clear at the same moment for the last number of a piece, the later order is refunded in full and we tell you by email; you are never charged for a canvas we cannot number. A refunded number, for any reason, is retired and never reissued, so an edition may close at fewer than 25 canvases. An edition is not an investment, and we make no promise about any future value.

Family Board Commissions

A Family Board is the house board Primogeniture with up to twelve squares set with words you supply, up to 28 characters each, in Latin or Greek letters. It costs the canvas price plus $600 and is numbered in its own series, outside the edition of 25.

You warrant that you have the right to use every word you supply, that the words infringe nobody’s trademark or other rights, and that they name no private person who has not agreed to be named. We print words only, never logos, emblems or images. We may refuse or cancel, with a full refund, any commission whose words we judge unlawful, hateful or the trademark of a business. We set your words exactly as you typed them, so please check them in the proof before you pay.

Prices, Payment and Shipping

Prices are in US dollars and include shipping within the United States. Sales tax, where it applies, is shown at checkout. Payment is taken by Stripe when you order. We ship to addresses in the United States only.

Delivery and Damage

Risk passes to you on delivery. If a canvas arrives damaged or misprinted, email us a photograph within fourteen days of delivery and we will replace it at no cost, keeping its number. See refunds and returns.

The Pictures

The images, titles and characters remain the property of PaintedApp, LLC. Buying a canvas gives you the canvas and the right to display and resell it; it gives you no right to reproduce the image. The heirs are invented, and any likeness to a real person is a coincidence.

Liability

Our liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, and disputes are heard in its courts unless your local law gives you another forum.
